LIP BLUSH POST CARE
Post-Care Instructions for Your Lip Blush Treatment
Proper aftercare is essential to achieving the best results. It’s important to follow these instructions closely, as post-care accounts for 60% of the final healed result. Keep in mind that it takes 6-8 weeks for the color to fully develop, and during this time it is completely normal for the lips to appear faded or patchy. Do not stress; the full result will emerge after the healing period.
With proper aftercare, your lips will last up to 3 years. For optimal maintenance, I recommend colour-boosting touch-ups every 1-2 years to maintain definition and vibrancy.
Immediately After Your Appointment:
Numbing will wear off within an hour.
Swelling will subside within 2 hours, and the rest will be gone in 24 hours.
Caffeine, alcohol, and blood thinners are fine to resume after the appointment.
Avoid spicy and citrus foods for the first 24 hours.
First 7 Days:
Keep lips dry: Avoid getting your lips wet when showering, brushing your teeth, or washing your face. It’s crucial to avoid water pressure directly hitting your lips.
Aquaphor is your best friend: For the next 7 days, the only product to apply is a thin layer of Aquaphor (morning, evening, and throughout the day). No other products or makeup should touch the lips (this includes shampoo, conditioner, face wash, and lipstick).
Hydration: Drink plenty of water to keep your body and lips hydrated.
Avoid:
Sauna, steam rooms, and intense studio workouts.
Excessive sweating and exercise.
Picking or touching your lips—let them heal naturally.
Swimming pools and hot tubs
Next 2 Weeks:
Avoid Botox in the lip area.
Next Month:
Avoid sun exposure and solariums to prevent pigment fading.
Avoid light and laser therapy on the lips.
Do not use chemical peels or fruit acids.
No lip injections until 4 weeks post-lip blush treatment.
